常設展示室、それは企画展とは異なり、その美術館が常に所蔵の展示をしている場所です。そのため、企画展のような混雑や喧騒から離れた、独特なその美術館のアイデンティティとも言える場所かもしれません。
そこでは、静かに見守るように自身を観に来る者を待つ美術品たちが並んでいます。そこは、企画展のように目的を持ってくる人を待つ場所ではないからこそ、予期しない出会いや、感情を揺さぶられる瞬間があるかもしれません。
この本は、それ自体が常設展示室のような、読者をいつも待っていてくれるような物語がそこに置かれている、という本だとおもいます。どの物語にも独特の風合いや色合いがあり、それぞれに惹きつける特徴があります。どの物語がどのように読者の心に残るかも、いつ読むか、どう読むかによって変わってくるかもしれません。
その中でも僕は最後の物語「道」にどことなく惹かれました。この物語から、有名だから傑作、というのではない魅力というものがあり、それは自分が意識できないところで心を引き留めるような類のものであること、そしてそれが何かの形で自分を形作っている可能性もあるのではないか、と感じるとともに、その無意識への探訪がしばしば誰しもにとって大事になるのではないか、と感じます。
Permanent collection room is where arts that belong to a museum are always exhibited. It is different from special exhibition, which is why the room is far from crowdness and noise that hamper concentration. And perhaps the room shows what the museum is.
In the room, art are wainting for you to come without any advertizing. The encounter with the art can't be expected becuase most of the people coming to the room don't have an objective like you have when you go to a special exhibition. The unexpectedness makes you meet yourself inside.
This book is the space like a permanent collection room. The stories are always waiting for you to read. The stories that have their own traits and colors are seen there. Each of them is appealing individually, but it will give you different feelings depending on how, where and when you read it.
I was impressed by the story "La strada". The story gives me an impression that only famous art is not an art that appeals people. What appeals people is something under consciousness oftentimes. Not only that, it can make up yourself in some manner. That's why I came to think that it is important to explore your unconsciousness, which can relieve yourself.
