よみました。
教養とは何か？考えたことのあるようで、実はあまり深く考えたことのない問題。
なぜ教養が必要なのか。教養とは何に役立つのか。
本書では、とても端的にかつ的確に教養とは何か、教えてくれます。
「教養とは、解を一つだと思わないこと。」
「解は無限かもしれない。その中で自分は何を選ぶのか、どうやって自分なりの解を導き出したのか」
これは、言い換えれば、
「価値観が劇的に変わる世の中で、一方的な理念を押し付けないこと。」
「自分にとって大切なものが変わらないようにするため、環境にあわせて自分が変わる側面もある」
ということ。
いつも変わらずに変わり続けるということがいかに大事か、よくわかる本でした。
What is educated? Most people have heard `He is well educated`, but how many people really understand what it means about well educated people? Moreover, why you need to be educated? and How useful it will be to be an educated person?
This book will respond to the question in a very concise manner.
Well educated means to understand that the answer is not single one.
The answers are not limited and the are unlimited. Out of unlimted number of answers, what do you choose, how you choose? This is one of the factors for being well educated.
In other words, respecting others' value and not forcing your own perspective to others is important in the world that is changing rapidly.
Putting it in another word again, to keep prtecting something you want to cherish, you should need to change yourself as appropriate.
From above, I belive that you should keep on changing yourself without changing your mode of changing.
